Visit Marchant with BADA Friends

BADA Friends
Marchant 120 Kensington Church St, London W8 4BH

RSVP

I am delighted the BADA Friends will be visiting Marchant on the opening day of Asian Art in London and will be viewing and learning more about their fascinating Kosometsuke exhibition where all the pieces were made during the Tianqi reign in China for export to Japan. There will also be the chance to see their Blanc De Chine exhibition as well. The firm specialises in Imperial Chinese Ming and Qing porcelains, jades, cloisonné, pottery and works of art. The emphasis is placed on rarity, quality, condition and provenance.

Marchant was founded in 1925 by Samuel Sydney Marchant (1897-1975) and Richard Marchant was Chairman of the BADA from 2005-2009 and today Samuel Marchant sits on the BADA Council, so the company has a long and fascinating history and celebrates its hundredth anniversary in 2025.

If you are not a BADA Friend, you can still welcome to come along to this exclusive masterclass. Just contact anne@bada.org to secure you place. Tickets are free of charge but strictly limited.
