Shiomi’s prints are meticulously printed by hand using the traditional Japanese woodblock printing instrument called a baren, and are acclaimed for their theatrical depth and trademark ochre and deep red colours. Shiomi’s works are in the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, The Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, The Oriental Museum Durham, National Museum Gdansk Poland among others.
